3 October 1997 No wedding in September, BUT finally some new pictures, check here!

2 August 1997 Sorry folks.. still not much news about Kimiko, or as far as I know...
Rumours about wedding are still on, if September is the "Date", then we should perhaps know soon.....
Received an award from Tennis.org.uk - that's why I thought I do some minor updates...

19 March1997 Not much news.... sorry about that.
Anyhow, put up the old guestbook logs, if you want to check what guest wrote about Kimiko during Wimbledon, after her retirement announcement, etc.

16 February 1997 Worked a bit more on the music side. Now I made a "jukebox' where I have at present 6 tunes, which are selected at random. To change selection, just click "Change Music". All songs are by title or feeling related to Kimiko, at least that's how I wanted it!

15 February 1997 Finally I found it! I wanted the music to play continously even if you change page. So, now its done, and there's three different music to choose between.

10 February 1997 Got my own server so moved the complete site to the new address, http://finland.co.jp/kimiko

25 January 1997 Added a new Arantxa Sanches Vicario site to theLinks Page
Will be in Finland until 5th of February, so don't expect any updates before then!

20 January 1997 Renewed the last page with "old" design, the Links Page

18 January 1997 Put some additional information about the new Picture Book of Kimiko in the Photo Gallery

15 January 1997 January 15 is a national holiday in Japan, so took myself time to finish the new version of the front page, which now has quite a different look, hope you like it.
Also changed music back to my old favourite, Your Song.
Renewed also subsequently the Introduction page, where you now find the links to Ryota's Page and Stories.
Also went through all the other pages and made some minor changes and repaired broken links.

14 January 1997 I'm working on a renewed front page. Put up a demo version of it. Need to renew some of the other pages before I could make it the "new entrance". Click here if you want to check it out!

7 December 1996 Added to the Photo Gallery a picture from 1995 US Open that I got from Hinomasa Mano at the Photo exhibition "HER" is Hibuya end of November. Thanks Mano-san!
Previously I added a "typwriter" text to the front page. Made by Gif Construction Set, if you are curious.

1 December 1996 Made a complete renewal of the front page, partly to emphasis the new "post-WTA" era of Kimiko. The page will go through some changes still, I am looking for a photo of "private Kimiko", which I have not found yet. If you are able to help me, drop a line.
Also put a new article in the Stories page.

29-30 November 1996 Visited today the "HER" photo exhibition in Shibuya, which I though was great! So put a "ad" for it on the first page, hope you have a chance to visit this photo gallery!
Also moved the previous first page picture to the main page, which is now slightly remade.
Renewed the Fed Cup section of Yuko's Picture's, also these pictures are now Photo-CD quality. Remade and added the practise pictures on same page. Also put two new pictures on the Yonex Festival page (Lady in Pink).

23-24 November 1996 Made a new opening page to announce the end of Kimiko's pro tennis career.
Added a few articles to STORIES

20 November 1996 Made a completely new page, which I call STORIES- there is more in lige than tennis.... On this page I am going to collect articles, iterviews and other stories about Kimiko's life "after WTA". Now there is only an interesting interview with Kimiko from New York Times (hope NYT don't mind...), and a link to Exposure Online, but soon there will be more.
Also changed music on front page. Inspired by a TV program here in Japan on Kimiko's career which used same music.
Updated Introduction and Results pages, etc. thanks to Kimiko's victory over Seles.

17 November 1996 Remade the Nichirei Ladies'96 picture page and changed all photos to Photo CD versions.
Made also a series of "Serious Kimiko" pictures in the Photo Gallery.

16 November 1996 Renewed the head-to-head page, accessible through the Statistics page, or by clicking here!.

13 November 1996 Changed all pictures to Photo-CD versions on Ryota's Page and made some other changes too. Also changed some pictures in Yuko's Album and About Kimiko Page.

11 November 1996 Got a Photo CD of most of Yuko's pictures! Now I am in the process of replacing most of the pictures with hi-res versions. Changed the font page picture, and puy up a full wallpaper size version, please download if you like! And all the thanks goes to Yuko!

10 November 1996 Made a new morphing image, the Date Smile, check it out at the bottom of the About Kimiko page

8 November 1996 Was playing around with a new software, the Videocraft GIF Animator from Andover Advanced Technologies and made a morphing picture on the front page.
Unfortunately I had to reduce the picture quality and number of frames to get a reasonable file size, if you would like to see the original, it's here!. But be warned, the file is huge, 296 kb.

6 November 1996 Added a few links to the Tennis Links Page, among others one to Kurokawa's pictures of Kimiko practising ahead of French Open, check them out.
Sorry that I have not done so many updates lately. I have not lost interest in the site because of Kimiko's retirement, on the contrary. Just been very busy. I have new ideas and plans which I am going to implement quite soon.

18 October 1996 Remade the JAVA enhanced front page . Made a JAVA applet using the Applet Ace software from Macromedia.
These applets are rather memory intensive, so appologize if you run into "Out of memory" problems. So go there at your own risk!

13 October 1996 Made two new picture pages. One with Kimiko playing with Ryota Tanuma and another with pictures and stories from the 1996 YONEX FESTIVAL.

10 October 1996 Remade the front page. Put up a picture where Kimiko is playing with Ryota during her practise ahead of Nichirei Ladies. Ryota is son of the leading "Kimiko photographer", Takeo Tanuma, Thanks to Tanuma-san for giving us the permission to use this picture, taken by Yuko Taguchi.
Also changed music of front page, new tune is a nice arrangement of I always love you.

30 September 1996 Recieved pictures from Mr. Takashi Ogawa in Australia which he has taken during Peter's tournaments in 1994 and 1996. Check thorugh Pohoto Gallery or directly here.

29 September 1996 Birthdays usually only lasts for one day, so had to change the front page again, with matching music; If You Leave Me Now!
Also made an "overhaul" of About Kimiko page. New background using some of Yuko's nice sepia colored pictures and added a picture from a Nichirei PR event.

28 September 1996 To celebrate Kimiko's 26th birthday I put some "appropriate items" on th front page.

26 September 1996 Made a new page for pictures taken by Yuko Taguchi at Nichirei Ladies'96. This is just a small sample of all the pictures, additional photos will be added shortly.

19 September 1996 Remade the Introduction page. Although I still liked the idea on the old version where Kimiko was playing to herself, she might get tired! Also regular visitors might like to have some change. Another reason was that I wanted to utilize some new pictures for which I had permission to use, instead of the old ones, which might have infringed somebody's copyrights.

17 September 1996 Made a Draw and Result page for Nichirei Ladies' as the official site did not provide any result service.

15 September 1996 Well, nothing new really, made some minor updates and put up link to Nichirei Ladies Open.
But the historic moment for me was seeing Kimiko "live" for the first time during practise for Nichirei
(made an old heart beat a bit faster...)

31 August 1996 Renewed the JAVA enhanced front page page. Check the new interesting applets.

30 August 1996 Added new links to the Tennis Links page. Among others three Kimiko sites.
Also redesigned this page, with new logo and navigation bar.

11 August 1996 Added two pictures to the Photo Gallery from Wimbledon which I received from Mick McCarron.

Added also two other pictures to the site. One of Kimiko and Yuko Taguchi, who has provided so many picture to this site. Check this at Yuko's Album (through Photo Gallery). The other picture is from the Fed Cup match against Germany, where Kimiko expresses her support for the Japan doubles team in a slightly "unlady-like" manner. Check this at the bottom of the About Kimiko page.

Made a new heading on Introduction page, Tournaments Ahead which lists the tournaments in which Kimiko participates over the next few months.

19 July 1996 Added new images to the Photo Gallery which I recieved from Takayuki Hanafusa in Paris taken at Roland Garros this year.

Removed the Javascript from Front Page as visitors have informed of error messages and loading problems. Left it as an option for those who want to try. Appreciate any comments from those who are unable to load the Java-version, indicating your setup, i.e. operating system and browser name and version.

12 July 1996 Made a Javascript on the Front Page with some news and introduction messages. The script also explains the content of each section by moving mouse pointer over the navigation buttons.

4 July 1996 To celebrate Kimiko's semifinal match at Wimbledon against Steffi Graf I made a new front page. Also changed and added pictures. This update is dedicated to Yuko Taguchi, who provided me with many fabulous pictures she has taken of Kimiko, among them the picture on the front page.
