Meet the new ambassador Tanja Jääskeläinen

This Autumn at the beginning of September, Embassy of Finland welcomed its new ambassador Tanja Jääskeläinen. We are happy to invite our chamber members to enjoy an afternoon coffee and networking with the ambassor on 24 November (Thursday) from 15 o’clock onwards.  

It has been a busier-than-ever-start for the new ambassador with Japan just reopening its borders for tourism after two and a half years, and besides tourism business and political sectors are also using this chance with traffic between Finland and Japan getting more and more back to normal.

After joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1995, she has served in several diplomatic posts inluding London, Damascus and Budapest. Before Tokyo, she acted as the Deputy Director General of the Political Department of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Helsinki. 

今秋9月に、駐日フィンランド大使館に新しい大使タンヤ・ヤースケライネン氏が着任しました。新しい大使を商工会議所のメンバーに紹介するために、11月24日（木）にアフタヌーンコーヒーとネットワーキングタイムにお招きいたします。

1995年にフィンランド外務書に入省以来、複数国で勤務をこなしてきました。ロンドン、ダマスカス、ブダペストの他、東京の直前はヘルシンキにて外務省の副部長として勤めてきました。
